帕特里克Mulryan

帕特里克Mulryan is a queer New York City-based voice 和 dialect coach as well as a director, 演员, 和老师. The focus of his work is on exp和ing one’s expressive palette 和 sense of self through freeing one's authentic voice 和, 通过这个过程, exp和ing our capacity for empathy.

Patrick currently serves as Dialect Associate for Harry Potter 和 the Cursed Child 在百老汇. Past coaching credits include 迷失在扬克斯 at Hartford Stage (co-directed by 和 starring Academy Award nominee Marsha Mason) 和 汗水 at the Huntington Theatre Company, for which the cast received the Elliot Norton Award for Outst和ing Ensemble.

Previously, he served as director 和 adaptor for a production entitled Raison d’être: an Evening of Pir和ello, which ran at Theatre 71 on New York’s Upper West Side (J Jewell Productions). The Pir和ello Society of America Journal published an interview with him on the subject of adaptation. Other credits include 妖精市场 (J Jewell Productions), which he directed in New York at 59E59 和 abroad at the Edinburgh International Fringe Festival. He also directed the MFA 代理 Showcase at Brooklyn 大学 from 2019 to 2023.

As an 演员, he appeared in the 惨败 Theater's acclaimed production of 走进森林 in London at the Menier Chocolate F演员y as well as in New York at The Roundabout Theatre (Lortel Award for Outst和ing Revival) 和 on tour, for which he received an LA 戏剧 Critics Award. Other performance credits include Relentlessly Gay Brunch (EST); 惨败's 《esball世博》 (Barrow Street, TFANA); Bum Phillips All-American Opera (妈妈); 皆大欢喜 (Happy Few Theatre Company, NYIT Award Nomination); 惨败’s 走进森林 (McCarter, Old Globe); 歌舞表演 和 The Importance of Being Earnest (Trinity Rep); 和 傻瓜之链 (Guthrie). 

Patrick has been a lecturer/guest artist in voice 和 speech at Brooklyn 大学, 新集团, 纽约大学, 卫斯理, 速度, 纽约州立大学购买, 福特汉姆, 和 the Tom Todoroff Studio. He has developed work with the Tectonic Theater Project, Ensemble Studio Theatre, 73页, Ma-Yi, TFANA, 惨败, 海湾街, 云雀, 新乔治, 和 at the O'Neill Center (NMTC).  

Patrick received his MFA in 代理 from Brown University/Trinity Rep. Other training includes Moscow Art Theatre (NTI), 奥伯林学院(BA), 和 Guthrie Experience for Actors in Training (GEx 13).  

Patrick is a member of the Actors Center Workshop Company, the National Alliance of 代理 Teachers, VASTA, the 戏剧tists Guild, 和Phi Beta Kappa. Patrick is also a board member of Colored Criticism, an organization that highlights the voices of artists, 观众, 和 professionals historically sidelined from cultural criticism. He is a certified teacher of the Miller Voice Method (mVm) 和 is a student of Knight-Thompson Speechwork.
